Goals
Goals are an important feature of the game. You can earn significant bc, xp and special versions of guns (Wasteland Minigun for instance).
What it is:
Goals are a system where Survivor players compete against Bandit players to control sectors. Your Player Reputation determines which team you are on. When the Goal time ends, the team with over 60% control wins the contest and collects the bc and weapon rewards.
If neither team is over 60%, no one wins.
How it works:
Only players who participate in the Goal can get rewards. You can see how your team and you are doing by checking the Goal status in your Journal. You will also see a little reminder version in the top left corner of your game screen. If your team gets over 60%, your team wins. If you participated, you will get a portion of the bc reward based on your Individual Participation. If the reward is 3200 bc and you only did 50% Individual Participation you will only get 1600bc. To get the gear reward (usually a Wastelands Gun), you have to get to 100% Individual Participation.
How to win:
To participate, move to the goal zones. They are marked on the Global Maps and detailed in the Goal section of the Journal. Find the Survivor Camp (or normal town if there is one) if you are a survivor and do the missions and jobs that increase Civilization Theme. They will be marked in green as below.
Bandits will do the same from the Bandit Camp (or normal town) doing missions like Kill Survivor Group or.Jobs like Guard Slaves or Mug People in the Back Alley.
The sectors will bounce back and forth between Anarchy and Civilization for the (roughly) 4 days the Goal is active. Whichever team is over 60% when the clock runs out, wins.
Important note: PvP is a way to move the theme in the Goal zones. Survivors killing Bandits will add Civilization. Bandits killing survivors will add to Anarchy. Given that there can be 3200+ bc and good weapons up for grabs, do not be surprised if you see PvP as the clock winds down. If a Goal is on top of an existing town, expect that the town owners will do whatever they have to to make sure the theme goes the way they need it to.
